In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, companies are increasingly realizing the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at The Castlewood Senior Living, we understand employee recognition is essential to achieving this culture.
Employee recognition is just as it sounds: recognizing and thanking employees for their hard work and effort. At The Castlewood, we like to show this appreciation in several ways. From social recognition, milestone awards, or our weekly creative follow-ups (CFUs), we always take a moment for our hard-working team members.
As the Business Office Director, part of my role is to promote employee appreciation. This past year, my favorite CFU was our Nightshift Appreciation. That week, we chose to highlight our nightshift staff specifically, as they are often the ones, well, left in the dark!
It felt wonderful to be able to commemorate them specifically. I chose to show them some much-needed sunlight with yellow or sun-themed gifts.
This is just one example of the many wonderful team members we have. We genuinely believe when done right, employee recognition creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work which in turn makes us a great place to live.
