The Castlewood Senior Living Discovers the Heart of the Community During National Assisted Living Week

Category: Senior Living

Author: Nikki Casteel, Resident Services Director

National Assisted Living Week is a special time when assisted living communities come alive with celebrations that bring residents together. It’s a chance to share stories, make memories, and enjoy events that show the strong bond among residents, caregivers, and families. This year, the theme is Season of Reflection. This week is important to our community because it gives us an opportunity to celebrate how great of a community we have and educate others about how fun senior living truly is.

At The Castlewood Senior Living, we are honoring residents’ lives and experiences by hosting events in our assisted living and memory care communities themed around different decades, the 40s through the 80s. As the Resident Services Director, I am most excited about our 70s themed Happy Hour party. I think Happy Hours are always a fun way to involve everyone in the community, including residents, family, and staff members, but this one is going to be extra special!

Taking the time to celebrate National Assisted Living Week is important. To me, Season of Reflection means to reminisce on different seasons of life and all the growth accompanied with each of them.

It’s not only a time to celebrate, but also an opportunity to appreciate the staff and volunteers who make assisted living communities what they are today! This week highlights the power of connections, memories, and the spirit of togetherness that makes every resident feel at home.

Join us as we dive into the Season of Reflection with heartwarming stories, exciting events, and the wonderful sense of community that make National Assisted Living Week a truly special occasion. You can follow along throughout the week on our Facebook page as we journey through the decades throughout the week.
